Deep melton fabric body with bullion piping and a high quality bullion PAVO badge on scarlet.
Fully lined with a plush sweatband which appears to be worn in reverse and in excellent, moth free condition. Staffs and probably 6 Troop, 5 Commando. Grouping consists of medals , Burma Star, Defence and War medal with original box Birmingham address and slip, various photos showing groups probably in Burma and a large panorama shot showing men at Commando Basic Training Centre Achnacarry in Grouping also comes with a particularly good example of a 2nd Patt FS fighting knife marked ‘ B2 and arrow ‘ to cross guard.
Knife looks to be little used with no sign of sharpening, contact rubbing to top of handle and very light speckling to blade from storage in scabbard.

This one is made of solid bronze and awarded to native bearers and servants; it has two clasps, the Tirah and the Punjab Frontier This medal is in excellent condition but all the naming has been erased; but both clasps are correctly attached and it comes on its original ribbon.
A very fine medal, a superb gap filler. Original American civil war period black leather ammunition pouch. It has been well used but remains in pretty good condition for its age. The inside still has the fabric compartments for the shells, there is wear here, some of the fabric has worn through, due to use. This is the 20 Mark example, part of a pad of certificates this is the last one, it comes in fair condition with a small tear on the right hand side. Victorian Owl Pounce Pot. A delightful Victorian desk item, many mistake these as pepper pots, but they are in fact Pounce pots or sanders. They held a fine sand and when you had finished writing with you old quill or ink pen, it was sprinkled over the page, to stop the ink from blotting. This one is made of old Pewter in the shape of a wise old owl with glass eyes.
The head unscrews so you can refill your pot with pounce.

The following items can be found on the A2Z Military Collectables website , with full descriptions, photographs and prices. This is really a sword for restoration as it has a light rust bloom all over the hilt and blade; but under this is a beautiful piece, the hilt and guard in very good order and the blade very nicely etched with King George V cypher and at the ricasso, the makers details on one side and the Brass button proof mark on the other. The back of the blade is marked with the number , unique to the officer who ordered it.
All this rust could be cleaned off to leave a very nice sword.
Early 19th Century French Infantry Hanger. The typical small side arm worn by French infantry in the early part of the 19th century. This example has a solid brass hilt with a curved steel blade. it has been well used and shows some wear.
The Queen liked the pieces so much that in she knighted Henry Doulton for his contributions to England’s ceramic art. By bestowing this royal honor upon the company, King Edward was also giving them the right to be called Royal Doulton. There are three brands that make up Doulton Home: The company has used numerous backstamps, marks and logos over the years. Many figurines have the artist’s initials stamped on the bottom. Other figurines are signed by the artist.
However, there are also a large number that do not have any artist identification at all, only a backstamp. The antique and collectible world of Royal Doulton is often complex and confusing. Many seasoned collectors consider their identification and price guide an invaluable reference and refer to it often. Dai nippon War Part Four 3. The main part of the country is a serried rank of knife-edges mountain ridges north of Rangoon and Mandalay, covered in near-impenetrable rain forest. The country is split by three huge rivers, the Sittang, Salween and Irrawaddy. These provide highways into the inland during the dry season and even in the monsoon, but become massive barriers to movement when swollen by the torrential downpours of the monsoon.
This lasted from mid-May to mid-October and turned the major rivers into inland seas, much of the country being flooded. All communications ran north-south with the rivers. There was a railway bridge across the Sittang, but the great Salween was not bridged. There were no roads on the Tenasserim, only cart tracks, and only foot paths and cart tracks crossed the Kra to Thailand.

It has a square handle and the shape of the pot is a hexagonal cut from top to bottom. I cannot find anything on this pattern! Also a girl and a dog in a large glass oval dome.
